DEVOTION TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS
Every Thursday evening before the 1st Friday of the month from September - May we will have adoration of the blessed sacrament in church, with confessions from 6 - 7 pm ending with benediction. First Friday mass will be at 8 am.
ADORATION CHAPEL
Located next to the church hall, our adoration chapel was constructed In 2004 with the help and donation of Holy Cross parishioners. Everyone is welcome to come to spend time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Please contact the church secretary for the code to access the chapel.
Adoration is the first attitude of man acknowledging that he is a creature before his Creator. It exalts the greatness of the Lord who made us and the almighty power of the Savior who sets us free from evil. Adoration is an homage of the spirit to the “King of Glory,” respectful silence in the presence of the “ever greater” God. Adoration of the thrice-holy and sovereign God of love blends with humility and gives assurance to our supplications.
—Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 2628
Eucharistic Adoration is a Eucharistic devotion that gives us the chance to come before Jesus and show our gratitude to our Lord in prayer.
Feel free to visit often and stay as long as you are able. The presence of Jesus in the Blessed sacrament is a great blessing for us all.
